Broll Property Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Handyman for a 6-month contract based at Kathu Village Mall in the Northern Cape.

Experience Level: Entry-level (Minimum 2 years’ maintenance experience)
Position Purpose
To carry out building maintenance duties, perform preventative maintenance, assist with tenant installations, and support operational safety and compliance. The handyman is expected to report faults, complete work orders, and provide consistent maintenance support across the mall.
Education & Certifications
- Grade 10 (Standard Eight)
- Additional training in general maintenance or repair procedures
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance-related role
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and safety procedures
- Ability to read and follow blueprints
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

- Conduct inspections and respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Replace lightbulbs, inspect and maintain toilets, doors, air-conditioning units, pumps, tanks, and fire equipment
- Perform minor repairs or escalate to supervisor when necessary
- Ensure familiarity with emergency procedures and equipment
Tenant Installations
- Assist with inspections and support tenant move-ins
- Help with removal or relocation of partitioning as needed
Record-Keeping & Reporting
- Complete work orders and maintenance records
- Track repair results and equipment condition
Communication & Safety
- Maintain communication with tenants and supervisors
- Follow all safety regulations and OSH requirements
- Support management and attend required meetings
